ARLINGTON, Virginia, Feb. 20 -- The Student Press Law Center issued the following news on Feb. 19, 2026:

FAC, SPLC urge high school to reinstate yearbook senior quotes

With the First Amendment Coalition, the Student Law Press Center sent a letter on Feb. 18 to the principal of El Capitan High School in San Diego urging her to reconsider her decision to ban all senior quotes from the student yearbook.
