WASHINGTON, Feb. 14 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Education proposed an interpretive rule to clarify that the agency does not recognize "regional" as a valid category for accrediting bodies. Under the Higher Education Act, all recognized agencies are designated as "nationally recognized," regardless of their geographic footprint.
