WASHINGTON, Feb. 13 -- National Union of Journalists has expressed deep concern following the announcement of further cost cutting measures at the BBC warning of potential impacts on jobs programming and morale.
Outgoing Director General Tim Davie told staff that the broadcaster aims to reduce total costs by an additional 10 percent by the end of the 2028 to 2029 financial year. The BBC previously reported savings of more than 550 million pounds toward a target of 700 million pounds . . .
