Customs & Border Protection Proposes Electronic Bond Mandate

WASHINGTON, Feb. 13 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection announced a proposal to transition the federal bond program to a fully electronic system. The proposal seeks to amend federal regulations to require that most bonds be transmitted to the agency via email, effectively eliminating the use of paper bonds.
