EPA Proposes Approval of Illinois Ozone State Implementation Plan

WASHINGTON, Feb. 12 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has proposed to approve parts of a plan from Illinois to address ozone levels in the Chicago and Metro East St. Louis areas. The proposal focuses on the 2015 ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard for areas classified as Moderate nonattainment.

The federal agency is reviewing several elements of the Illinois State Implementation Plan. These include a demonstration of reasonable further progress, updated 201 . . .
