University of Alabama-Birmingham Completes Inventory of Human Remains, Funerary Objects Associated With Potentially 5 Native American Tribes

WASHINGTON, Feb. 11 (TNSFR) -- The University of Alabama Birmingham campus completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects associated with potentially five Native American tribes.

The inventory identifies human remains representing at least five individuals of Native American ancestry. The 101 associated funerary objects include 46 lithic flakes, 19 undecorated pottery sherds, 11 miscellaneous stones, and various other items such as chert fragments, wood, cha . . .
