WASHINGTON, Feb. 10 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration is proposing to update the hazardous materials regulations to align with international standards, a move intended to lower costs for the U.S. economy while maintaining safety.

The agency plans to adopt the latest regulations from the International Civil Aviation Organization and the U.N. These updates focus on the classification, packaging and stowage of hazard . . .
