WASHINGTON, Feb. 7 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs announced the approval of the first amendment to the tribal-state gaming compact between California and the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation. The agreement governs the operation and regulation of class III gaming activities.
Under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988, the BIA is granted a 45-day period to review and either approve or disapprove compacts governing gaming on tribal lands. . . .
