WASHINGTON, Feb. 7 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs has approved an amendment to the gaming compact between the state of Kansas and Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska.
Under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988, the Secretary of the Interior has a 45-day window to review tribal-state compacts. If the Secretary takes no action to approve or disapprove the agreement within that timeframe, the compact is considered approved by operation of law, . . .
