WASHINGTON, Feb. 4 (TNSFR) -- The Field Museum, Chicago, Illinois, has completed an inventory of human remains representing at least one individual and determined a cultural affiliation with the Native Village of Akutan, Native Village of Atka and Qawalangin Tribe of Unalaska. This announcement, published by the National Park Service on Feb. 3, 2026, initiates the repatriation process under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.
