WASHINGTON, D.C. - Rep. Earl L. "Buddy" Carter (R-GA) today announced $5 million in funding to support the widening of Interstate 16 (I-16) from four to six lanes in Chatham, Effingham, and Bryan counties as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026.
