WASHINGTON, Jan. 27 -- British Ambassador Archie Young, deputy permanent representative to the United Nations, addressed the Security Council in New York to support the extension of the mandate for the mission in Hodeidah. During the meeting, Young confirmed the council agreed to a two-month period ending March 31, 2026, to allow for an orderly transition of responsibilities to the Office of the Special Envoy.
