WASHINGTON, Jan. 15 -- New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani appointed Afua Atta-Mensah as the chief equity officer and commissioner of the Mayor's Office of Equity and Racial Justice during a ceremony at the Brooklyn Justice Center.
