WASHINGTON, Jan. 20 -- New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced a $2.1 million settlement with A&E Real Estate during a news conference in Jackson Heights, Queens, to resolve thousands of hazardous building violations and cases of tenant harassment. Standing alongside housing officials and affected residents, Mamdani stated that the agreement requires the landlord to pay restitution and immediately correct more than 4,000 code violations across 14 buildings in three boroughs.
