Australian P.M. Albanese Announces Immediate Federal Gun Reform in Radio Interview

WASHINGTON, Jan. 19 -- Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced during a radio interview on KIIS FM in Canberra that the Australian government will introduce legislation to prevent non-citizens from obtaining gun licenses or importing firearms. The prime minister confirmed the reforms aim to address security gaps identified after the Bondi terrorist attack, where 15 people were killed in December 2025.
