WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 (TNSFR) -- The Kansas State Historical Society, Topeka, intends to repatriate sacred cultural items to the Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes of the Fort Peck Indian Reservation, Montana. The U.S. Department of the Interior National Park Service issued the notice following requirements of the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act regarding items currently held in the historical society's collections.
