Berkshire Museum to Repatriate Hawaiian Sacred Objects to Hui Iwi Kuamo'o

WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 (TNSFR) -- The Berkshire Museum, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, plans to repatriate cultural items, including sacred objects and objects of cultural patrimony, to Hui Iwi Kuamo'o. This action, announced via the U.S. Department of the Interior National Park Service, follows requirements of the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act regarding a diverse collection of Hawaiian artifacts currently held by the museum.
