San Francisco State University to Repatriate Funerary Objects to Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria

WASHINGTON, Jan. 16 (TNSFR) -- The San Francisco State University has announced plans to return 256 cultural items and lots to the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria, California. This decision follows requirements set by the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act regarding the return of unassociated funerary objects.

The collection includes a diverse array of materials removed from De Silva Island in Marin County. Among the 256 items are 116 lots of historic glass . . .
