EPA Finds Huntington Township in Attainment for Sulfur Dioxide Standards

WASHINGTON, Jan. 9 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced that Huntington Township, Indiana, is meeting the 2010 sulfur dioxide National Ambient Air Quality Standard. This decision officially reclassifies the area from nonattainment to attainment.

The federal agency approved Indiana's request after determining the region met all statutory requirements under the Clean Air Act. This improvement in air quality results from permanent and enforceable emission . . .
