WASHINGTON, Jan. 8 (TNSFR) -- The Wilson Museum, Castine, Maine, has announced its intent to return eight sacred objects to the Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes of the Fort Peck Indian Reservation, Montana.
The decision follows requirements established by the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act regarding ceremonial items necessary for traditional religious practices.
