WASHINGTON, Jan. 7 (TNSFR) -- The Fowler Museum at the University of California, Los Angeles, plans to repatriate 766 lots of cultural items to indigenous communities in Southern California. The decision follows requirements of the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), which governs the return of objects with historical and traditional importance to Native American groups.
