University of Michigan to Repatriate Associated Funerary Objects to Multiple Tribal Nations

WASHINGTON, Dec. 24 (TNSFR) -- The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, has completed an inventory of Native American associated funerary objects and determined that a clear cultural affiliation exists under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act. The determination was published through the National Park Service as part of its administrative responsibilities, while responsibility for the findings and conclusions rests solely with the University of Michigan.
