WASHINGTON, Dec. 24 (TNSFR) -- Allen County-Fort Wayne Historical Society, Indiana, has completed an inventory of Native American human remains and associated funerary objects in its care and determined that the materials are culturally affiliated with the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma and the Shawnee Tribe. The determination clears the way for repatriation under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act following consultation and review of archaeological and historical records.
