University of Florida to Repatriate Warm Mineral Springs Ancestors to Miccosukee, Seminole Tribes

WASHINGTON, Dec. 23 (TNSFR) -- The University of Florida Museum of Natural History, Gainesville, has completed a revised inventory of Native American human remains and associated funerary objects from the Warm Mineral Springs site in Florida and determined that the ancestors are culturally affiliated with federally recognized Tribes in the state. The determination authorizes repatriation under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act following updated research and consultation. . . .
