WASHINGTON, Dec. 23 (TNSFR) -- The Gilcrease Museum, Tulsa, Oklahoma has completed an inventory of Native American human remains and associated funerary objects and identified cultural affiliation with numerous Tribal Nations. The action is being taken under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act and involves the remains of at least 36 Native American individuals and more than 1,000 funerary objects excavated from multiple archaeological sites in Pike County, Illinois.
