WASHINGTON, Dec. 22 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has announced that it will bypass federal laws to fast-track the construction of barriers and roads along the New Mexico border.
The waiver allows the agency to skip legal requirements from the National Environmental Policy Act, the Endangered Species Act, and the Clean Air Act. These actions target a specific project area stretching from Border Monument 73 east and north to Border Monument 47.
