WASHINGTON, Dec. 18 (TNSFR) -- The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has proposed an order to grant exemptive relief that would allow for the expansion of cross-margining arrangements for U.S. treasury securities.
This proposal, announced in response to a petition from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME), Illinois, and the Fixed Income Clearing Corp. (FICC) aims to improve market efficiency ahead of new clearing requirements.
