WASHINGTON, Dec. 13 -- The House Education and Workforce Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary and Secondary Education released the following testimony by Deborah Figliola, a special education and English teacher at Harrisonburg City Public Schools, from a Dec. 3, 2025, hearing entitled "Safeguarding Student Privacy and Parental Rights: A Review of FERPA and PPRA."

FERPA is the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act while PPRA stands for Protection of Pupil Rights . . .
