WASHINGTON, Dec. 11 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has proposed to reject a state implementation plan (SIP) revision from Ohio that would replace mandatory vehicle emissions inspections with a program of motorist self-attestation.
The move, stemming from the state's "E-Check Ease Act," seeks to allow drivers to sign a form declaring their vehicle complies with emissions standards instead of undergoing the required on-board diagnostic (OBD) testing . . .
