EPA Proposes Michigan Ozone Plan Approval for 3 Counties

WASHINGTON, Dec. 11 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency proposed to approve multiple revisions to the Michigan state implementation plan (SIP) concerning ozone nonattainment areas in the western part of the state. This action covers Allegan County, Berrien County and Muskegon County, which were reclassified as Moderate nonattainment areas for the 2015 ozone ambient air quality standard (NAAQS) after failing to meet the original Marginal area attainment deadline.
