WASHINGTON, Dec. 9 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce National Marine Fisheries Service has issued an incidental harassment authorization (IHA) to the Washington Department of Transportation to allow the unintentional taking of marine mammals during the Mukilteo Wingwalls Repair Project in Puget Sound, Washington.
The authorization is valid for one year from the date of notification by WSDOT, and it was issued on Nov. 21, 2025.
