DOE Delays Sex Nondiscrimination Rule

WASHINGTON, Dec. 9 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Energy has announced a further delay to the effective date of a rule that would rescind regulations related to nondiscrimination on the basis of sex in education programs receiving federal financial assistance.

The rule, initially published as a direct final rule on May 16, 2025, has now been pushed back from Dec. 9, 2025, until March 9, 2026.

This marks the third time the agency has delayed the rule's effective . . .
