WASHINGTON, Dec. 5 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation temporarily halted the enforcement of rules regarding airline refunds for what it previously considered cancelled flights.
This interim step gives airlines a reprieve from refund requirements when a flight's number changes, provided the passenger is rebooked on the operationally identical flight and experiences no significant change or delay to their itinerary.
