WASHINGTON, Dec. 5 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has proposed a substantial recalibration of the Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) program. This proposed rule aims to realign the program with congressional intent by amending fuel economy standards for light-duty vehicles across model years (MYs) 2022-2026 and 2027-2031.
