HAMMOND, Indiana, Dec. 4 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Indiana posted the following news release on Dec. 3, 2025:

Hammond Man Sentenced to 96 Months in Prison

Fernando Porras Jr., 64 years old, of Hammond, Indiana was sentenced by United States District Court Judge Gretchen S. Lund after pleading guilty to distributing methamphetamine and cocaine, announced Acting United States Attorney M. Scott Proctor.
