WASHINGTON, Dec. 1 (TNSLrpt) -- The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in cooperation with the City of Gary, West Virginia, issued Open-File Report 20251037 in 2025 titled 'Reconnaissance of Potential Alternate Water Supply Sources for the City of Gary, West Virginia,' authored by Mark D. Kozar and Samuel H. Austin. The report explores seven potential sources of mine-derived groundwater to address degraded water quality in the city's existing supply.
