WASHINGTON, Dec. 1 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of the Treasury Internal Revenue Service adopted final regulations that finalize a user fee reduction for authorized persons requesting an estate tax closing letter.
This final rule maintains the reduction of the user fee for the issuance of IRS Letter 627, which is also referred to as an estate tax closing letter, from $67 to $56. These regulations are effective on Dec. 31, 2025.
