Customs & Border Protection Launches Pilot Program for Third Party Logistics Providers in Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism

WASHINGTON, Nov. 26 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection has initiated a general notice to announce a pilot program that will allow asset-based and non-asset-based Third Party Logistics Providers (3PLs) to participate in the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) Program.

Homeland Security is conducting this pilot to assess whether expanding CTPAT membership to include these entities will improve port security, counter terror . . .
