WASHINGTON, Nov. 26 (TNSFR) -- The Bixby Memorial Free Library, Vergennes, Vermont, has completed its inventory of Native American human remains and formally acknowledged cultural affiliation to the Stockbridge-Munsee Community of Wisconsin. The determination comes under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act and marks a significant step toward repatriating the remains of at least two individuals to a Tribal Nation with established historical ties to the region.
