WASHINGTON, Nov. 25 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement is moving to revise federal regulations by removing language that identifies obsolete funds it distributes to eligible states and tribes each fiscal year.
This action is being taken through a direct final rule that rescinds a portion of the existing regulations found at 30 CFR 872.13(a)(5), which refers to "prior balance replacement funds."
