WASHINGTON, Nov. 25 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement has proposed a direct final rule to eliminate regulations related to prior balance replacement funds, which the agency deems obsolete.
The rule would rescind 30 CFR 872.29 and 30 CFR 872.31 of the federal regulations, which define and outline restrictions for the use of these funds.
