WASHINGTON, Nov. 20 (TNSFR) -- BNSF Railway, Fort Worth, Texas, petitioned the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Railroad Administration for an extension of a compliance waiver relating to its track inspection procedures.
The railway is requesting to continue using a combination of its track geometry measurement system (TGMS) and visual inspections on three corridors that are part of its current automated track inspection program.
