WASHINGTON, Nov. 15 -- New York City Mayor Eric Adams and Consumer and Worker Protection Commissioner Vilda Vera Mayuga announced the launch of a landmark in-school banking pilot on Nov. 12, 2025, at the Laboratory School of Finance and Technology in the Bronx. This pilot, a core element of the city's Financial Literacy for Youth Initiative, will bring banking services and financial educators directly into 15 school districts.
