WASHINGTON, Nov. 12 -- Sonoco Products Co., Hartsville, South Carolina, announced a major consolidation of its consumer packaging segment. The company is merging its Metal Packaging and Rigid Paper Containers businesses into a unified structure organized by two geographic areas: Consumer Packaging EMEA/APAC and the Americas, the company stated.
