WASHINGTON, Nov. 1 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has imposed controls on the use of several industrial chemicals, requiring companies to notify the government before starting any activities considered a "significant new use."
The proposed rule, known as a significant new use rule (SNUR), targets chemical substances that were subject to premanufacture notices and are also under an EPA Order issued under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
