WASHINGTON, Oct. 31 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Education Office of Postsecondary Education has issued final regulations for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, effective July 1, 2026.
These regulations revise criteria for a qualifying employer under the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) program, specifically by adding provisions to exclude organizations that engage in illegal activities such that they have a substantial illegal purpose.
