WASHINGTON, Oct. 29 (TNSFR) -- The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has withdrawn a proposed rule that would have required supervised nonbanks to register information about their use of form contracts seeking to waive or limit consumer legal protections.
The proposal, titled "Registry of Supervised Nonbanks That Use Form Contracts To Impose Terms and Conditions That Seek To Waive or Limit Consumer Legal Protections," was published on Feb. 1, 2023.
