WASHINGTON, Oct. 23 -- New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced the city's first municipal child care pilot program during remarks delivered in the historic municipal building. The pilot, set to launch in September 2026, will provide free, on-site, and affordable child care for up to 40 children as young as six weeks old of Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) employees at 1 Centre Street.
