WASHINGTON, Oct. 28 -- NextEra Energy, Juno Beach, Florida, and Google, Mountain View, California, have announced on Oct. 27, 2025, a collaboration focused on accelerating nuclear energy deployment in the U.S. to meet the surging electricity demands of artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure. The cornerstone of this partnership is the planned restart of the Duane Arnold Energy Center, Iowa's sole nuclear facility, which was shut down in 2020.
