WASHINGTON, Oct. 11 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration is evaluating a request from Tennessee Gas Pipeline LLC (TGP), Houston, Texas, to extend an existing special permit. The active special permit allows TGP to deviate from specific Federal pipeline safety regulations in sections of the code that address a gas transmission pipeline segment when it changes from a Class 1 to a Class 3 location.
